Today I'll be interviewing Author C.M. Huddleston, author of Greg's Second Adventure in Time. I think it is super cool that she's received the Seal of Approval from Literary Classics, because it is a company I have used in the past and love!

Greg is BACK! Back in Time in "Greg’s Second Adventure in Time." As Greg once more time travels, he journeys to our nation’s colonial period where he explores our country’s new frontier, encounters hostile Indians, meets famous Americans, and helps win the American Revolution! The Adventure in Time series for middle-grade readers strives to interest children in our nation’s history by providing them with a fun, intimate learning experience through the eyes of another child. Children’s Literary Classics awarded "Greg’s First Adventure in Time" its seal of approval in 2015.

What is it Greg's First Adventure in Time about?

Greg once more time travels, he journeys to our nation’s colonial period where he explores our country’s new frontier, encounters hostile Indians, meets famous Americans, and helps win the American Revolution! The Adventure in Time series for middle-grade readers strives to interest children in our nation’s history by providing them with a fun, intimate learning experience through the eyes of another child.

Tell us about yourself. Why did you start writing?

To get children interested in history.

Do you market your books? What has worked for you?

Word of mouth, Facebook, Goodreads, and various Indie author site.

If there was one thing you discovered while writing that you wish you knew when you started, what would it be?

I spend too much time marketing!

Are you a member of any writer's groups? Is it worth it?

I am a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. I am still evaluating whether or not it is worthwhile. I will say that they support traditionally published authors more than Indie authors.

What are you working on now?

I am working on the third book in my Adventures in Time series, currently titled Greg's Third Adventure in Time but that may change before publication.


About the Author

Award winning author, C. M. Huddleston is a retired registered professional archaeologist, historic preservation consultant, and interpretive specialist. This book began its life more than 25 years ago right after she worked at the Cresaptown archaeological site. Her goal started as a way to tell children about archaeology and prehistory. Then life and a career got in the way.

She raised two children, progressed in her field, started her own company (Interpreting Time's Past, LLC), and now is finding the time to write more about Greg.

C. M. Huddleston lives in a rural area of Kentucky in a log cabin. She recently found a projectile point on her land while planting a maple tree.
